Sign Up for Merchant Services
- Do you have an inventory of books or textbooks, new or used, that you would like to sell, rent, or buy with CheapBooks.com? If so, our Merchant Services Program can help you earn money with a variety of different programs to advertise books or advertise textbooks.
How It Works
- Sign up for our Merchant Services Program
- Place HTML tracking code on your site
- Provide us access to your inventory information
- Fulfill your new orders
- Make your commission payments
Commission Structure
Option 1: CPA
- A Cost-Per-Action transaction allows you to pay for transactions only when a customer completes a predefined action, such as a Textbook Buyback. You would pay either a percentage of the book value, a flat fee, or a mixture of both. Please contact us for the current rates.
Book & Textbook Sales
- Percentage - 8% to 12%
- Flat Fee - Minimum $5, Maximum $10
Textbook Buybacks
- Percentage - 6% to 10%
- Flat Fee - Minimum $2, Maximum $5
Option 2: CPC
- With a CPC model, you simply pay per click for your products. We will link items by their specific ISBN or UPC code, directly to the product on your site. Conversion rates are as high as 30% to 50%.
- Minimum 30 cents per click
No Setup Fees; No Recurring Fees!
- There is no setup fee to use the service. Other services charge $5,000 to $12,000 just to setup up an affiliate program for a merchant.
- There is no recurring fees. We do not charge a monthly fee. Other services charge high monthly fees.
Independent Tracking System
- We use a third-party hosted independent affiliate tracking company, ensuring independent verification of order tracking.
- Log in at any time during the day to review your stats on an hourly, daily, or monthly basis.
- Adjust for returns or non-delivered items.
- Reporting is provided by an independent third party.
Requirements
- You must have your own order processing system, or the ability to take orders and process payments. We recommend PayPal if you do not have one.
- You must provide us with an inventory datafeed (via ftp or http, compressed), and an API. We will use both your catalog file and real-time API (or web page) to provide customers with your available inventory. Textbook buybacks, and international stores, require separate datafeeds.
